Jonas Wolfe hasn’t forgotten the beauty he left behind when he left Texas two years ago. Bailey Malone has haunted his thoughts and dreams ever since he saw the twinkling promise of forever in her bright green eyes. After making financial preparations to pursue the very wealthy heiress, he returns to Grapevine, Texas in hopes to woo the much desired and coveted belle of the Malone Empire.

Bailey Malone was left confused and bewildered when Jonas Wolfe asked her out on a date two years ago, then disappeared back to Oklahoma without so much as a “sorry, but I have to cancel our date” or even a simple “goodbye”. The dark and handsome brother of Juliana Sharp had captured her heart with a single glance. The stars in his eyes told of beautiful things that he had to offer. But, as all the other guys, he didn’t seem to be interested in a forever kind of deal. At least, not with her anyway. Still, forgetting that glimmer in his eyes was nigh impossible. Dreaming of him was hindering her love life and she couldn’t seem to stop comparing all other men to Jonas Wolfe.

When Jonas returns to Texas, after a slightly heated confrontation, things quickly go from warm to scorching hot with Bailey. Unable to resist each other’s attraction for one another, their relationship elevates to heights well above the clouds. They fall so quickly for each other, they hardly have time to sort out what their relationship entails.

Assumptions are made and Jonas catches Bailey in a compromising position with another man, leaving him confused and angry.

Will Bailey be able to convince him that he is the one she loves? Will Jonas be able to ignore things he’s heard about Bailey, from her own brother, and the string of men she’s left in her wake?

Check out this Christmas tale of true love and how a promise of forever is the sweetest gift of all.

“7 Sons of Caldwell: Tanners African Queen”

1374246_443730529066721_1738376979_nThe dust from her jeep speeding down the sandy road to Nairobi clouded his view of her impetuous escape.  What a dismal end to the most stimulating assignment Tanner had ever had in his twelve years as a wild life photo journalist for the National Wild Life Magazine.  She was the reason, Miss Shaina Kavanagh, the enchanting zoologist who’d guided him around to the most beautiful and secluded sights on the plains and plateaus of Kenya, in the mountains of Tanzania and along the crystal clear beaches of Zanzibar.  He was assigned there to shoot the most dangerous close ups of the wildlife such as lions, elephants, wildebeests and rhinos.

He’d been sent there by his editor, Bryce Montgomery, under the impression he would only be there a couple of weeks.  Bryce only wanted close ups of the animals, but when Tanner had arrived and was introduced to his incredibly beautiful American guide, who was to show him around and take him to the wildlife parks he was scheduled to visit, he found as many reasons as he could to prolong his assignment.  One being that if he left Kenya as scheduled, he would miss the annual migration of a million and a half white bearded wildebeests and two hundred fifty thousand zebras.

Bryce was more than happy to oblige Tanner’s request.  He’d been the magazine’s most valuable photo-journalist in the past eight years.  Bryce hired him twelve years ago when Tanner finally convinced him that he was the man for the job by sneaking into a bear cave during hibernation and shooting the most amazing photos of the giant grizzlies in their long winter slumber.

He never needed proof from Tanner to trust him on any of his assignments from that moment on.  Tanner’s instincts were always right on target and Bryce would fund any assignment he requested and for whatever length of time he needed.

Seeing Shaina the first time took him totally by surprise.  He’d never been affected by the beauty of a woman the way he had been with her.  There was just something about her that pulled him in like a magnet and all he wanted was to be close to her.  Confusion swept over him like a thick fog.

He’d never been one to avoid one night stands or a short fling with some beauty on his assignments.  He enjoyed women in every way known to man, then when the time came, he walked away with no regrets and most importantly, no strings attached.

But, with Shaina Kavanaugh, he somehow wanted…more.  She was the breath of fresh air he never knew he was missing.

Shaina was kind and she loved the animals.  She and two African guide brothers, Desta and Dakarai Koriche, who were mainly there for their protection, escorted him around parts of Kenya and Tanzania to study the natural wildlife and their surroundings.  Shaina was there for her expertise in animal behavior and to further her studies of some of the wildlife.

The two of them became close rather quickly.  They studied and tended to animals in the Nairobi and Tsavo National Wild life Parks side by side during the day, and by night, they studied and tended to each other.

Tanner Caldwell had travelled the world many times with his job and had his share of hot affairs along the way.  Some were one night stands, others lasted days, weeks, even months.  For him it was no strings attached or nothing at all.  If a woman was getting too clingy, it was time to end their sexual relationship, which was really no relationship at all, and move on to the next one.  Not that he was being cruel, he just didn’t have anything to give to one woman.  He travelled non-stop with his job and he was never in one place at any given length of time.  Hell, he never even saw his own family more than once or twice a year.

Each time he would begin an affair, he would make sure it was perfectly clear that he was nothing more than a man passing through and didn’t want a relationship with anyone.  He only wanted to have some fun while he was there with no complications.  Most of the women understood, some, not so much and Tanner would be forced to leave them before he would be leaving his assignment.

But he was always the one to leave without looking back and with no regrets.  That was his motto in life…No regrets.

In the beginning with Shaina, he told her the same thing…that he only wanted to have some fun and have no strings attached.  Shaina wanted the same thing.  Nothing more than a fling to liven up their time working together.  But after working with her, being near her each day for only a couple of weeks, Tanner’s chest had begun to ache at the sight of her angelic face when she would glance at him from afar while working with others and smile sheepishly at him, or when she laughed with the hyena cubs as they jumped about playfully with her…each time she would brush a stray lock of hair from her face as the wind blew…when he made passionate love to her each night.  And each night his passion for her grew stronger, more powerful, pulling him into a bottomless pit of want and hunger that he couldn’t seem to satisfy.

He was alarmed by the feelings she was stirring deep within him and had planned to end things before they’d gone too far.  When the time came to do what he does best, walk away, he couldn’t bring himself to do it.  It was too late, he’d fallen in love with her.

About the Author Turquoise

Ana Profile picMy name is Ana B. Ronning and I live in North Texas with my husband of twenty four years, Garrett, and our beautiful teenage daughter.  I’m a stay at home mom at present, will be an empty nester in a couple of years and I plan to remain at home until retirement catches me.

I grew up in a small southern Texas town where people didn’t lock their doors at night in fear.  My sister and I could be found either on our bikes, in a tree or just running barefoot through our huge back yard.  We were rarely indoors and our mother would stand on the back porch and call to us when it was dinner time.  We could hear her from blocks away when she’d call us, and come roaring into the yard on our bikes, usually racing to see who could get there first.

Most of my life, I really never liked to read.  I was the athletic type and loved to play all kinds of sports.  Reading was just plain boring to me most of my life.  So, you can imagine my surprise when I found something that sparked a fire in me that I never knew existed.

I suppose I was stuck in a rut, not knowing what direction my life needed to go.  I didn’t feel I was contributing enough.  My daughter was growing up and didn’t need me anymore, for one.  I wanted to feel that I was equally contributing to my family and to society.  And, I most certainly wanted to make my amazing husband as proud of my accomplishments as I have been of his.  Garrett has always been there for me, supported anything I wanted to do and he’s always had my back, no matter what.

I was searching for something to make me feel more adequate.  I felt there was something missing…something important I was supposed to be doing.

As luck would have it, Garrett dragged me to a half price bookstore one day looking for something in particular for him.  I was browsing through the Romance Novels as I waited for him, not intending on buying one.  I noticed one that book that stood out among the others.  It looked quite appealing, so I took it home and started reading it.  By the end of the next day, I was finished with it.  I loved it so much I asked Garrett to take me back to get the other two books I learned were in the series.  They were read in three days.

This was sometime in autumn of 2011, when I found my love for Romance Novels.  I read just about everything this particular author wrote then found other authors I really liked.  Garrett encouraged me to write a book of my own, so I wrote my first 19th Century Romance Novel in January of 2012 and finished it in April of 2012.  I had never enjoyed something so much in my life, well, almost nothing else.  I found what I wanted to do, my passion, and it only took me forty-three years to find it.

I finished the novel and went on to read more Romance novels, but more modern than 19th century.  I fell in love with modern romance even more and started working on the “Love Lights” series.  This was my true passion for writing romance.  I enjoyed writing these three books and I do hope that you enjoy reading them.  I will eventually publish my first, 19th century novel, in addition to a sequel to it, in the future, but for now, I have more writings that I am currently working on.

I truly loved writing this series and I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Will Mason be able to resist the constant temptation of making love to his beautiful angel when he promised her, himself and God that he wouldn’t? Will Emma be able to convince him that she’s ready to take the plunge and become a woman in every sense of the word?

“Love Lights: First Sight” is an amazing story of abstinence and the struggles of maintaining it when in love, respect from a true gentleman and the sweetness of true love at first sight.

My Review for Morgan Parker’s “Non Fric-Tion”

My FIVE STAR REVIEW

for

the Magnificent Morgan Parker’s…

“NON FRIC-TION”

COVERsmall-02

After 12 years, 4 months and 1 and 1/2 weeks of marriage, his wife packs up and leaves with their daughter. So he writes an Indie novel. And it becomes a bestseller. Well, sort of.

His fame brings him the lifestyle of a rockstar, and he has the fan mail (i.e. female undergarments, probably clean) to prove it.

But seeing his fame, his wife suddenly believes in marriage counseling. Their homework: to create something beautiful for each other.

So he writes Our Story, his literary secret-weapon that will win his wife back. But in the process he discovers that true love is more than just ticking the right boxes on a checklist. It starts with… well… }i{ .

Note: the f-word is used 231 times in various formats throughout this story. Read with caution.

My Review-Dark Red

11359692_s

Morgan Parker has done no less than Wow me with his talent for pulling the reader into the very heart of his character. His style of writing is uniquely refreshing and the way he shows no fear in adding colorful metaphors throughout the story, most of which come from his wife who curses like a sailor when it comes to Morgan, there’s no tiptoeing around words with this author.

In this story…Morgan, himself, is the main character, whether the events that take place here are fiction or not, who knows? There are some obvious truths to the story and you will know this if you’ve read his “Sextual Encounters” books.

imageMorgan Parker, the character, finds himself going through hard times when his wife of twelve years walks out on him with no reason, taking their daughter with her. Morgan decides to write a novel and became a best selling Indie author almost overnight. The attention he recieved was incredible. One of his fans sent him a pair of panties. Now, I don’t know about you, but that would really boost my self confidence. This “special fan”, Emma, contacted Morgan via texting, beginning a strange and exciting relationship between the two of them. They become very close friends and even visit each other a few times.

image (2)Morgan develops strong feelings for Emma and wants to be with her. The catch…she’s married. Unhappily, yes…but very married. Getting laid is in the forefront of Morgan’s mind and you will find yourself praying that “this time” he’ll get laid with every chance that comes his way. I won’t spoil anything for you, but I will tell you that his chances slip him by more than should be legal. But, not to worry. Morgan, the author, isn’t that cruel.

image (1)Morgan’s wife…Jennifer, aka Princess Bitch, decides after his book becomes a best seller that they should see a marriage counselor. Still cursing like a sailor all the while, Princess Bitch softens to Morgan over time.

The ending to this story is unfamiliar to me, as I am one who always has to have the happy ending. This one will bring tears to your eyes, but, believe me…it is the perfect way to end this book. I found myself smiling rather than crying and angry, which I sometimes do if the ending is nothing but heartbreaking. I actually smiled thinking, “Morgan is brilliant.”

I highly recommend you read this book. The format is flawless, with little or no mistakes in grammar and punctuation. The reason I mention that is because I am a stickler for those things and will take away a star just for poor writing. Morgan is one of the best authors I’ve come across and I will definitely be keeping up with his work.

About the Author Deep Red

Morgan Parker profile picMorgan Parker is the pen name for a shy and introverted former banker. Because he could never balance his cash at the end of the banking day,

he made up stories in order to keep his job. None of those stories was Textual Encounters, which is great because readers will discover a truly

unique and original romance that has never been told before. Morgan  is the author of Textual Encounters and Textual Encounters II.

As a self-diagnosed hypochondriac, he recently survived a terrible STD (which turns out to have been mis-self-diagnosed

as an over-consumption of water) and is battling Adult ADHD (definitely not misdiagnosed… not even close).

Other Books-Dark Red

Morgan Parker Textual Encounters

Katie discovers an unlocked iPhone in the back seat of a taxi. But instead of turning it in to the driver as lost, she decides to keep it for herself.

Outside of the usual clutter you would expect to find on a smartphone, what captures Katie’s interest is the single conversation she finds on the phone’s secure text messaging service, a three-month dialogue between a woman with an uncertain past named Christine and a single, eligible man named Jake.

From Strangers to Soulmates in 90 Days

What starts out as a message intended for someone else ends up being the beginning of a relationship more powerful than anything Christine or Jake have ever experienced.

But nothing ever turns out to be as good as it initially seems and their histories slowly reveal details and past lovers that threaten to derail their humble quest for love.

Forgotten In The Back Seat of a New York City Taxi

Can Christine and Jake overcome the seemingly insurmountable obstacles, doubts and secrets that endanger their love?

If so, why would such a relationship get forgotten in the back seat of a New York City taxi?

Presented in a Format Unlike Any Other You Will Find

Follow Katie as she reads through the 3 months of conversations that form The Christine + Jake Affair and provide the foundation for the Textual Encounters Trilogy.

Morgan Parker Textual Encounters 2Having found a white iPhone in the back of a New York City cab, Katie orchestrates a “chance” meeting with Jake, the man of her

dreams. Knowing more than she lets on, Katie develops a relationship with Jake that ultimately gets captured in text form. And

those texts are passed along to the married woman that just lost Jake’s baby.

Excerpts with Author Commentaries:

1) Here, Morgan (the MC) and Emma are having a “moment.” Emma is fighting their attraction and evident feelings, for good reason. Morgan just keeps pushing harder and harder, trying to crack through her shell and get to her tasty core. Yes, in more ways than one!

Holding her always felt perfect, but at that moment it felt like pure heaven. She fit in my arms, she fit against my chest, she fit into my soul. When she breathed, I breathed (okay, neither of us had stopped breathing, but I swear if she had stopped, at that moment, I would have died right along with her).

“Emma,” I said, using my chin to nudge her and force her eyes toward mine. I didn’t want to use my hands to guide her because that would mean releasing her, and I refused to do that, I refused to let go.

2) After having rejected Morgan, Emma has travelled across the country to win him back.

“I wasn’t wrong about us,” she said, her voice hard and determined. But because there were words attached to that voice of hers, I didn’t place a whole lot of trust in them. “Hey, I love you. No matter what happens, whether you hate me and never speak with me or see me again, I will always love you and the moments we shared. And because of this love, I’ll always be waiting for you, just like Olivia waits until the end of time for Oliver. I’ll be there, always waiting, always for you.” She smiled at that point, and the sadness and doubt from earlier was gone.

3) It’s the first time Morgan (the MC) meets Emma and her real-life beauty eclipses any pic she ever sent. He immediately envisions himself spending his entire life with her… dying with her.

…she had these smile lines around her mouth that promised she’d make an amazingly hot senior citizen, the kind of gal you’d just

pray would have her walker break down before siesta time, and you’d have to give her a ride home on your electric scooter.

Yes, she was that perfect.

4) Morgan (the MC) has carried Emma up to his hotel room and thinks he’s going to drunk-fuck her. This scene demonstrates that something more than physical chemistry exists between the two of them

“I’m not fucking you,” she told me.

I didn’t believe the words because her eyes told a different story; sure they were closed, but that didn’t mean anything. I placed her gently on the bed, made sure her head was cozy on the pillow, then told her I’d be right back.

“Don’t leave me,” she slurred. She spoke slowly, the alcohol running thick through her veins by now.

So I cozied up on the bed beside her.

“Hold my hand, Morgan.”

I slid my fingers between hers (they fit perfectly), watching her while the alcohol slowly robbed what was arguably my best and only chance at getting laid before flying back home tomorrow.

The Dream Cast of Non Fric-tion…

Morgan

imageForced into a mid-life crisis when Jennifer, his wife of 12 years, walks out on him,

Morgan decides to do what most guys his age do – try to get laid.

He sees opportunity in that department when he writes Sextual Encounters,

a romantic novella that introduces him to Emma.

Jennifer

image (1)

Morgan’s wife.  He calls her Princess Bitch.

One day, Jennifer packs her and her daughter’s stuff up and leaves Morgan.

Although she is emotionally and physically finished with her marriage,

she proposes marriage counselling, where she gradually discovers that

Morgan isn’t such a bad guy.

Emma

image (2)Having almost burned through her second marriage,

Emma takes an immediate liking to Morgan when she reads his “brilliant” novella.

She allows their relationship to get a little too cozy and despite her obvious

feelings for Morgan (and his for her) she tries to help him win his wife back

by supporting his literary endeavours.

Morgan Parker Art...

I, along with hundreds of thousand of other people, discovered this amazing piece of art while lost at the Art Institute of Chicago over the weekend. When you peek into the one end, you see an empty tree trunk; when you peek into the other, you find a heart. And you want to stare at it forever…

Anyway, it’s a challenge to write one-sided love stories… less of a challenge to write difficult two-sided love stories. So I wrote Non Friction, which is a difficult two-sided love story, with a dip of one-sided here and there because I like a bit of a challenge, but not too much of one .

Picture3

Before we get into your writing, tell us about yourself.

What are your favorite hobbies?

Life is probably my most favorite hobby, but a close second is watching people. I’m not talking about being a voyeur – although I guess I can’t knock it until I try it – but seeing how people socialize with one another has become a huge interest of mine recently. Just today, I watched a fairly pretty girl flirt with a guy who was uglier than I am; she was way out of his league. That sort of interaction always amazes me because life doesn’t always make sense and people prove that time and again.

How and when did you get started in writing?

Too young. I should have enjoyed more of my childhood; I wouldn’t be such an immature freakshow today if I had. Although I started writing as soon as I understood how to use words, I started taking it a lot more seriously once I learned just how much money Stephen King earned 1986. It was a lot.

What genre(s) do you write? And, if more than one, which is your favorite?

I like to think that I write for the General Fiction crowd, but people keep telling me that my stories are difficult loves stories. Oh, and they’re hilarious – yes, that really strokes my ego. In reality, I love writing about people. Love messes people up, so there’s always an element of that in my stories.

Who is your intended audience?

What a great question. A knee-jerk response would be that my intended audience would be people who know how to read and appreciate a good, difficult love story, but I bet illiterate people would like my stories a whole lot more than those who know better. I should clarify that – illiterate people who like to spend a lot of money on books are my ideal audience.

What inspires you the most?

As corny as it sounds, love inspires me most. There’s always something beautiful in a love story, no matter what the genre or style might be. If love doesn’t inspire me, food certainly does. If people throw peanut M&M’s at me, it’s amazing what I will do for them.

Do you have a job outside of writing?

I have several. My first job is to be a parent to two awesome children who laugh at all of my jokes because that is how I trained them. My second is to be a husband to a great, loving wife. That second job is a lot more difficult than any other job I have because marriage takes work. In fact, one of my mentors explained: love is easy but relationships take effort.

Tell us about your latest release.

My latest release, Non Friction, is the story of a middle-aged man who has to deal with being single again when his wife walks out on him. Having spent most of his adult life in a relationship, he doesn’t know how to be alone. So he writes a book and once he realizes that he has a bit of talent, he decides to write the best love story ever… with the intention of winning his wife back. Except that exercise teaches him about love and what it really means.

Who designed the cover and what does it mean?

I take full credit (and blame) for that cover. The symbol was inspired during a textual encounter (yup, that’s my shameless plug) with a dear friend of mine, someone I trust and love like I would a big sister. Anyway, we were chatting late one night and got into this pissing contest about who could create the most-inappropriate emoticon. I might not have won with }i{ (big sisters always win, even when they’re wrong or stupid, right?) but I decided to put mine on the cover of a book and introduce it to the rest of the world. No, I don’t take losing lightly.

How did you come up with the name of the title?

So much of the story involves the main character trying to get laid (and failing at it) that I really had no choice but to call it Non Friction. I also wanted something unique, something poetic and something that alluded to that “non-fiction” feel of the story.

Can you give us a little taste of the next part of the story?

The main character, Morgan, clearly has some issues he needs to work through. When he befriends Emma, he realizes that maybe he was wrong about a lot of things, including the marriage he has been working so hard to save.

Have you written other books, published or not?

I am often referred to as “Mr. Textual Encounters.” While I don’t exactly believe it’s meant as a compliment, it is nice to see that people appreciated my first novellas as much as they did. No, I didn’t attract any heavy hitting agents or publishers, but that was never the point.

What are you working on now and what are your plans for future writings?

My next novel, Sick Day, will have a Charlie Kaufman feel to it. Although I haven’t started writing it, the outline paints the picture of a guy who let go of the wrong girl, regrets it for years, then takes one final stab at winning her back. Over the course of one “sick day,” he tries to convince her to say 4 words to her husband when she goes home that night: I am leaving you.

We’ll see how that turns out for him.

Being a new published author, how does that feel?

I think it will always feel like I’m new, like my cherry still needs to be popped so to speak. Writing a story and exposing so much of yourself to a bunch of strangers is always daunting and despite the pain and bleeding, it ends up being well-worth the sweat and tears.

What authors have inspired you and what books are your favorites?

I really love Colin Harrison’s works – he’s a literary genius in my view and someone I admire. Also, I love how Dennis Lehane’s stories challenge my view of social morality, and how Ian Rankin captures my attention for 400-plus pages. On the Indie front, Leslie Fear’s mind scares me (perfect last name), AL Zaun has the freshest voice I have ever come across and she writes about perfectly flawed characters that make me feel human. Lastly, I can’t wait for the December release of Tarryn Fisher’s Mud Vein – the small amount of information I’ve found has had my mind spinning since day one!

I know when I published my first book, so many fellow authors helped me along the way. Have you received support from others in the community and how have they helped you?

I have received so much support from others that I won’t even begin to try and list them! That support has been anywhere from technical in nature (how to write a steamy love scene) to trivial (how to use Facebook for more than just flirting with people – in fact, I’m told you shouldn’t even flirt at all, which is boring but alas a good policy to follow) and everything in between. They are now among my closest friends.

Do you have any advice for first time writers?

Enjoy the process. Take risks. Embrace this world that the bloggers and readers have created for Indie authors.

Happy Thirsty Thursday! Today in our Naughty Nooks in the Magnificent Marketa Giavonni!!

Marketa Giavonni

is the incredibly talented author

of the Hot as the Blazes of Hell Series,

“The Exhibitionist Fantasies Full Moon Masquerade”!!

About the Author Deep Red

Marketa Giavonni profile picMarketa Giavonni is my pen name

for the erotic short stories I’ve been writing.

My true identity is not important,

and when it comes to these storiesshe’s more real than I am.

Smashwords Interview with Marketa Giavonni

What’s the story behind your latest book?
My latest book is Three Erotic Nights of The Exhibitionist Fantasies Full Moon Masquerade. Every month there are three nights when the moon looks full, and on these nights Eric and Marketa enjoy sexual adventures with other people. Lexi is the virgin whose crush on a neighbor motivates her to gain some sexual experience. Yvonne is the woman who claims to be Marketa’s double. The last night features Richard and Layla presenting a play of Erotic Kitsch: Layla Earns Extra Credit. This play portrays a student coerced into sexual play to earn extra credit for a test she failed, taking what is essentially a porno set-up and having some fun with the kitschy-ness behind it.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I’ve always loved writing but was never able to get anything published. Writing Erotica is new to me; I’ve only been doing this for a couple months, so I know there are ways in which I could improve my writing in this genre. I started writing Erotica as a way to overcome my sexual inhibitions, creating the character of Marketa Giavonni and then writing under a pen name as her. All of my stories feature the same two characters: Marketa and Eric. “Candy Ass,” a Halloween story that features Marketa dressed up as a naughty Catholic school girl, was the first story I wrote in this genre. After I finished it, I wanted to explore the back story of how Eric and Marketa met, which became the story “Red Hot Slut.”
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Smashwords has given me the opportunity to be a published writer and to have full control over what I publish. I’m extremely grateful that I found this website which offers so much to an indie author starting a new career. I appreciate the fact that Smashwords ships my books for me to major distributers like Amazon and Barnes and Noble. It’s too soon to know if I will be financially successful as an indie writer, but having the opportunity to connect with readers gives me the validation I need to pursue a career in writing

Marketa Gianonni Masquerade...Three Erotic Nights of The Exhibitionist Fantasies Full Moon Masquerade

There are three nights a month when the moon looks full, and on these nights Eric and I enjoy sexual adventures with other people. Lexi is the virgin whose crush on a neighbor motivates her to gain some sexual experience. On the second night I meet my twin, Yvonne. The last night features Richard and Layla presenting a play of Erotic Kitsch: Layla Earns Extra Credit. Come join the fun.

I’d been watching Tall-Dark-And Sexy for a couple nights now. He was at the club most nights that I came, dancing with several girls every night, and most of them he went off to the bathroom with for what I hoped was steamy, kinky sex. Tonight I would make my move and find out if he was the exhibitionist I’d been looking for.

Blond Catholic SchoolgirlCandy Ass

Halloween is easy money. I dress up every year as a naughty Catholic school girl, complete with fuck-me pumps and lace stockings. The final touch is the ruby red lipstick that matches my skimpy red skirt. Eric and I enjoy this sexual fantasy with a new guy every year, and this year Babyface Catholic boy is going to have the night of his life. Let the fun begin.

Clover two Jakes

Bonus Scene Deep Red

From Jake’s vantage point in the parking lot, it didn’t look like anyone was in his apartment except for Clover. That meant one of two things. Either she’d ignored his request and planned a party for him anyway, and now there was a room full of people crouching behind furniture waiting for their opportunity to yell “Surprise,” or she’d listened when he said all he wanted for his birthday was a quiet evening alone with her. With Clover, he had about a fifty-fifty chance. It could easily go either way, depending upon her mood.

One thing was certain. He couldn’t spend the night lurking in the parking lot. He had to go inside sooner or later. He checked the surrounding cars to see if he recognized any of them one last time, then shut off the car and climbed out. Sometimes he missed his old green Ford, but the used Mazda was better for getting around in the city. He tried to use it as little as possible. A MAX pass was way cheaper than gas and he’d tried to go without a car at all when they’d first moved. The only trouble with that was he ended up borrowing Clover’s car a couple of times a month. She didn’t mind, but he did. And her dad probably would have, too, if he’d known about it.

The light was off in the living room when Jake entered. That was one concession Clover had made. Instead of arguing that she could afford the electric bill, she simply turned off the light when he asked her to. She’d kiss him on the cheek and pat his ass, then go back to whatever she was working on. Eventually, she’d started keeping the lights off when he wasn’t home, too. It was a little thing, but it made him feel like she really got it.

“Clover?” Jake braced himself for the possible birthday surprise ambush, but it never came. He took a couple more steps into the apartment and dropped his backpack on the sofa. “Are you home?”

“In the kitchen.”

Jake followed the sound of her voice and, sure enough, he could see that the light was on in that room. It still took extreme effort to keep from running to her when he got close. If he gave into every impulse he had involving Clover, they’d never leave their bed.

He found her in the kitchen. Her face was smeared with white flour and her clothes had a dusty sheen. A lopsided cake with chocolate frosting sat on the table. She touched a lighter to the “2” and “0” candles on top as he stepped into the room.

“Happy birthday.” Clover smiled and all the noise of life fell away. He no longer cared about the electric bill or the paper he still needed to write or the fact that his boss reminded him a little too much of his dad. All that mattered was Clover and she was standing right in front of him, looking at him like he was the best thing that had ever happened to her. She’d said that to him more than once, but he still didn’t know how to believe it.

“You made me a cake.” Jake kissed her cheek and felt the silk of flour coat his lips. Prior to them moving in together, Clover had never done much cooking. She’d approached learning it the same way that she tackled every new thing in her life, like it was an activity to be conquered, not savored. For all her enthusiasm, though, she still wasn’t very good at it. He didn’t know why he was so surprised that she’d baked for him. That was a totally Clover thing to do.

“Yes, now blow out the candles before wax gets everywhere.” She gestured toward the cake and he couldn’t help but chuckle. He doubted that the wax would make it taste any worse. Still, he did as she said and blew the candles out.

Clover cut him a piece and watched with wide-eyed curiosity as he took a bite. The texture was gritty and he got a pocket of baking powder that made it bitter to the taste. “It’s delicious.”

“Yay! I’ve never baked a cake before. I was worried.”

“It’s perfect. Just like you.” To prove his point, Jake took another bite. He swallowed and licked his lips before leaning in to give Clover a kiss. He didn’t want the flavor lingering on his lips where she could taste it by accident. She didn’t typically eat sweets, so maybe she wouldn’t have a piece and then he’d be able to get away with telling her it was good. “What’s for dinner?”

Clover’s face fell. “I forgot all about dinner.”

“Then I guess I’ll just eat two pieces of cake.” Technically, it was his turn to cook anyway, but Clover had told him not to worry about it that morning as he’d left for class.

“Maybe I could take you out for dinner?”

Jake tried not to stiffen because he understood how much he was asking when he refused to let Clover treat him all the time. Yes, she had the money, but he had his pride. He wanted to earn his own way, not rely on his girlfriend to support him. That meant he couldn’t afford to eat out very often, but he could afford groceries. He wasn’t starving by any means.

Before he could think of a suitable reason to decline, Clover said, “It’s your birthday, Jake. Please?”

The smile she gave him was so sweet and innocent that it reminded him of the moment he fell in love with her. It had been his first summer at his Aunt Tammy’s. He’d been seven and Clover was ten. He couldn’t remember now why she’d smiled at the time, but the feeling of his stomach dropping burned into him. He’d felt it every single time since then. There was no way he could say no.

“Anything you want.” That was the refrain from his life. He would do anything for Clover, even if it meant swallowing his pride now and again and letting her do something for him instead. “Where do you want to go?”

“I don’t care. As long as you’re there, I’m happy.”

Clover left to change her clothes and Jake ate his entire piece of cake while he waited. He hadn’t even bothered to make a wish when he blew out the candles. Clover was his happily ever after and he couldn’t think of a single thing that would make his life better.

About the Author Deep Red

Braxton Cole lives in the Pacific Northwest where she spends most of her time holed up in her office writing stories. When she’s not writing, she can be found riding her bike, hiking the fabulous local trails, chasing her kids, or wishing that her thumb was a little more green. She has a bad habit of killing what she tries to grow, but hasn’t given up hopes of one day being a successful urban farmer.

Braxton writes erotic romance because romance is the stuff that makes life great, and sex is fun. The two belong together, both in life and in fiction.

Braxton is our Strong Adventurous Packster in The Sex Pack.  She was one of the first authors to lend a helping hand unconditionally at the beginning of my writing career and has never faultered.  She’s been a true friend and is one of the most talented writers I know.  She is a strong woman who gives that trait to her heroines.  I’ve no doubt that her femanine characters could whip some overly testosteronal ass.  I love the way she makes sex a fun thing in her stories and not just about the physical and emotional side of it.  Adventurous in her work, Braxton is one of the brightest of the erotica stars and I will cherish her friendship always. ❤

Braxton is also the amazing author behind “Blown” and “The List” series.  The first two books of “The List” are available now!

Birthday Wishes is Book 1 in The List Series is intended for an adult audience only and contains mature themes, including graphic and explicit sex.

Excerpt from “Birthday Wishes”

“It really is your birthday,” he said, a question in his tone, but not the words.

“Yes. Thirty as of eight this morning.” I refused to be one of those women who lied about her age. I may not like getting older, but I wouldn’t let it turn me into a harpy clinging to long gone youth. I was thirty. I’d worked hard to make it through those years, and I wasn’t going to deny a single one of them.

“When you said you wanted to work on your birthday wish list, I thought you meant it metaphorically, not literally.” He led me smoothly through a song change. He was so comfortable on his feet I couldn’t help but wonder what it would take to unravel him just a bit.

“Nope, no metaphors here.”

“Had I known, I would have wrapped the package a little better.”

I looked at his crotch reflexively and pictured his cock with a ribbon and bow tied around it. “It’s not too late, you know.”

He placed a finger under my chin and tipped my head up. “Your mom is watching us.” He was totally laughing at me. Busted checking out my date’s goods by my mom. Unfortunately, my eyes needed to stay above the waist for the rest of the evening.

“Fabulous. One more thing for her to ask about.”

“I created family problems by coming here?”

“Problem is too strong a word, but since my divorce. . .” I let the sentence hang. How could I explain my mom’s interest without making her look like a pushy nut job? In fairness, she was a little bit of a nut job, but I think that was just my biological clock ticking. I couldn’t hear it yet, but somehow it’d tapped into my mom’s system instead of mine. Children were not high on my list of concerns, but grandchildren topped hers.

“Until your brother explained, I thought you were the one who gave me the address.”

“I figured. Ricky likes to play. He didn’t mean any harm.” I gave my baby brother a raft of shit at any available opportunity, but just like any older sister, I’d be damned if I let someone else judge him harshly. It was my job to defend.

“He cares about you.”

“Mmm.” What else could I say? Admitting we liked one another is not something Ricky and I would ever do willingly. “You should tell me something about yourself,” I said, “like what you do for a living.” My mom was going to ask and I couldn’t just say I don’t know, Mom. I want to fuck him, not marry him.

 All Wrapped Up”

1 All Wrapped Up Cover for Cover Reveal

Mari and Luca continue to work through their list of sexual fantasies in All Wrapped Up, Book Two in The List Series. They’ve abandoned their original plan of no strings attached and, for the most part, Mari’s learning to be okay with it. She definitely likes Luca’s strings (and whatever else he might use to restrain her), but she’s not sure she’s ready to take the next step in their relationship. Luca, sweet, strong, commanding Luca, insists that it’s time to move in together. Mari insists it’s time to relax and enjoy what they share without complicating things.

With every moment they spend together, Luca shows Mari how good they could be together. Will Mari run away from her emotions, or does Luca have her all wrapped up?

“Blown” was Braxton’s debut release and is still one of my favorites today!

“Blown”

blown-braxton cole

Veronica “Roni” Guard is an undercover cop trying to bust a drug ring. Unfortunately, she runs into her ex-boyfriend, Mateo Vargas, at an illegal street race in the California desert. He just happens to be a pretty big criminal himself. That’s why they split originally. No matter how much chemistry they have between them, a cop and a gangster are not a good match. Roni Convinces Mateo to help her with her case, his reluctance derailed by the one thing that always worked between them–sex. Yes, he’ll help her. But on one condition. In his world, she belongs to him, and him only.

Will Mateo’s possessiveness unravel Roni’s case? Or, worse, blow her cover? And if they get out of this alive, is there a future for them together?

Excerpt from “Blown”

“What are you doing here?”

I gave him a onceover. He was an interesting guy. A total thug according to law enforcement, but an absolute gentleman when we’d been together in the past. We’d dated a few times, nothing serious, just long enough for us to get naked and sweaty together. And God, was he glorious in bed. Then I’d realized who he was and he’d realized I could arrest him and that was that. All things considered, I felt pretty damn lucky that he hadn’t dropped me into the bottom of an open construction site. That tended to happen with Vargas family enemies.

A small smile worked its way onto his face, then disappeared far too quickly. “Stop smiling at me and answer the question.”

In fairness, I hadn’t realized I was smiling. He had this amazing golden God effect on women, and knew it. I’d felt it too many times to pretend it hadn’t happened, and I’d seen way too many other women respond the same way. For some reason, despite his edict that spending time together was bad for my health, he still showed up at the same clubs that I liked to frequent.

“I’m working.”

He stepped closer and my breath caught in my throat. He stopped too far away for me to touch, but close enough that I could feel the energy emanating from his body. That was part of his charm. He was wild, with his impulses barely controlled.

“Working?” He chewed on the word like he couldn’t quite believe I’d said it. “Roni, you think this is a joke? Crimson won’t let you live if he figures this out.”

“That’s true of most undercover assignments.” I shrugged like Crimson didn’t scare the living shit out of me. He did. Between him and Luis, I was two seconds from pissing myself. I’m all badass and shit, but those guys are real life gangsters. I’d spent too much time looking at their jackets to not know what I was doing when I agreed to take this assignment.

He covered the last few feet separating us and cupped my cheek in his hand. “Then tell me what’s worth dying for?”

A huge thanks to Sarah for the awesome spotlight!!

Kisses to you, Love!   :-*

What I’m Up to Now!! ;)

Hello My Wonderfully Naughty Peeps!!

Look what’s coming up in the Fall of 2013!!

Entry Four

“Blinding Obsession”

And…

Guardians of the Tri-Parenje II

 “Shadows of Desire”

The Firehouse Diaries: Entry Four: Blinding Obsession is in the works and coming close to being completed.  This story is about the ever so sexy Chris Patterson, and, yes…he is one of the hot firefighters from Station #12.
Chris hasn’t been able to stop thinking about the red headed beauty he locked horns with at Jake and Rhea’s wedding reception just two months ago.  Kori Morgan is Rhea’s best friend from LA and man does she have a temper?  Chris, being the flirtatious playboy that he is, tried his irresistible charms on Kori and they backfired.  The gorgeous fireball gave Chris what he never expected, an earful of the kind of man she despises…namely…him.
Licking his wounds, Chris ran as far away from her as he could get and vowed never to so much as look at her again.  Thank God she lived in LA and would be leaving Bennett Colorado.  Never having to associate with her again was a relief…until he was blindsided by fate slapping him in the face.
Recently divorced from a Dominant and abusive husband, Korina Morgan was devastated to learn that her sister, Skye, the only living relative she had left, was moving to Bennett, Colorado with her boss, Rheagan Baumy Polanski, also Kori’s best friend, because of Rhea’s job promotion.  Not wanting to be so far from her sister, Kori decided to make the move with her.  Coincidently, Kori just happens to be a firefighter and begins to look for a fire department to transfer to in the Bennett area.  As fate would have it, the best choice is Station #12.  The very station where Rheagan’s new husband, Jake and his friends are stationed.  Worst of all, Chris Patterson, the God’s Gift to Women she bumped into at Rhea’s wedding reception, is there as well.  Hoping for a different shift from the annoying Casanova, she takes a chance and puts in for the transfer.
Fate, obviously has a sense of humor.  Kori is not only put on the same shift with the handsome Don Juan of this century, she’s his new partner.
The heat is on and the friction the sexy firefighter causes puts Kori’s libido in high gear.  The more she tries to fight her attraction to him, the more he does to convince her that giving in and submitting to his over stimulating desire to Dominate her…body, heart and soul is what she really wants.
Chris finds Kori to be irresistible in every way and taming her proves to be a challenge like he’s never had before.  Cooling her hot temper and redirecting that heat to her sexual desires is all he can think about.  But, when she caves, Chris finds she is more dangerous than ever when his heart starts to ache for more than a sexual relationship with her.
Can Chris convince Kori that they were made for each other?  Will Kori’s fear of being hurt again turn her away from the only man that could bring out her soft side?
Hmm…we shall see.  “Blinding Obsession” is a story about how a Dom/sub relationship isn’t necessarily about pain.  If done right, pleasure is the goal with that sort of relationship and, yes, occasionally, a little pain is involved.  However, the pain brings a whole new kind of pleasure to the one on the receiving end.  Blood is drawn to the surface, bringing with it more sensitivity to pleasurable touches.  A loving Dom takes extra care of his submissive and shows her more love than she could possibly imagine.
Although I have never participated in the lifestyle, I am intrigued by how wrong people are when pain, punishment, abuse and horror is the depiction most perceived.  True, some Dom’s can be cruel, but, I’ve learned from some people in the lifestyle, that it isn’t always that way.  The submissive has more control over what is allowed and what isn’t than the Dominant by way of contract.  Once the agreement is in order, the Dom takes charge and abides by the limitations of their sub.  A Dominant likes to be in control of situations.  A submissive is willing to turn their complete trust over to their Dom and allow them to control every action they wish them to play out during sex.
The reason I wrote this story in this context is to bring out the loving relationship rather than the terrifying one so many people believe to be related to the Dom/sub lifestyle.  I know…I was one of those people until I read more and more about the subject.
Although I touched base with the lifestyle in the second entry, Maximum Heat Wave, I felt I wanted to give more insight to this way of life.
I hope you enjoy all of the Firehouse Diaries.  After “Blinding Obsession”, there will be one final entry with the story of everyone’s favorite, Chance Raeburn.
More on that subject later!
In the first Guardians of the Tri-Parenje, Shadows of Ecstasy, we are introduced to the world of Panthera Shape Shifters with a hint of other powerful beings.  The story is about a young woman, Sloane Dasani, who is oblivious to the possibility of a whole world of immortal beings living amongst humans on a day to day basis.  As if learning of this obscure world wasn’t enough, Sloane also learns that she, too is immortal, but not a shape shifter.  With powers just beginning to emerge in the first book, the second book will take us into more detail about Sloane’s powerful abilities and give us insight to the other exceptionally powerful women called by the “Tri-Par” to their destined and eternal mates with the brave and powerful Madison Sharrife.
If you haven’t read the first book, I should tell you that a handful of powerful women are being called by a magical force known as the Tri-Parenje, which is Croatian for “Three Mating”.  In other words, a ménage a trois.  Yes, these lucky girls will be mated with two incredibly sexy hunks, who, by the way, shift into some form of large cat.  In the first book, Sloane is mated with Kade O’Connell, a black panther shifter, and Lincoln Merrick, a snow leopard shifter.
In Shadows of Desire, Madison is mated with Corin Kovac, white tiger, and Adan Vicente, snow leopard.  This trio teams up with the first trio against the banished rogue shifter, Karan Paash, who leads the Thunder Clan, all banished shifters from the Shadow Clan by Solomon Minear, leader of the clan and the Guardians of the Tajna (secret of the panthera existence).
The Tri-Parenje is a Prophecy that tells of the Tri-Par as being the joining of two shifters and a human, until they learn of their true immortality.  It is believed to be a myth rather than prophecy.  The Tri-par chooses a mate for two shifters.  The shifters will be the chosen’s loving Doms, they will love them fiercely, both physically and emotionally, and will do anything to protect and take care of them.
You will find that when the Tri-Par strikes its target, the attraction and emotional attachment is instantaneous and to the point of uncontrollable desire and lust.  Coming between two shifters and their Tri-Par would be a fatal mistake.
The sexual overload is addressed very soon after the calling and the shifters have little control over their actions.  Their mate is not as out of control as they are, but she is more than willing to submit to their lusty need.  However, for them to truly mate, the shifters must take her simultaneously.  Only she can decide if and when that will take place.  If she chooses not to mate with them, they will remain without a mate for eternity.
There will be four books in this series.  Shadows of Obsession and Shadows of Rapture will follow Shadows of Desire and will be novel length, unlike Shadows of Ecstasy, which was only the introduction to this magical and exciting world.
I hope you will stick around and enjoy these stories as they unfold.  I know I am having fun creating this incredibly erotic fantasy!
Stay tuned for more on both series as they come to life.
Loves and Kisses in all the right places!
